Except for singular last names (which have the ability to become a brand name, Gucci, Prada, Chanel etc.) I think self named fashion houses should be done when the actual designer is also done (whether retired, or in the sad case of Alexander McQueen...). However, Sarah Burton seems to almost be getting it here for the Alexander McQueen fall 2011 collection.
